We encourage you to wear anything that makes you feel gorgeous, so long as you wear flats. Claire will have white Birkenstocks under that formal dress. If you’re looking for inspiration, think Michigan socialist summer camp meets California farm-to-table meets Met gala.
Outside of the wedding itself, this is a rustic camp. Tips for your packing list:
- Average September Temp: High 73 F/Low 52 F, chance of rain 20%
- Swim suit
- Sandals or flip flops for the shower and the beach
- Sun hat
- Rain coat or umbrella
- Sunscreen and bug spray
- Flashlights – you’ll need them to get around at night
- Sheets and blankets or sleeping bag, including pillowcase
- Towels
- NO high heeled shoes
- BYO drinks of choice. We’ll have wine and beer at the wedding feast, plenty of water, and Peet’s coffee in the mornings. Otherwise, bring what you want to consume.
